Homework and worksheets can contain names, grades, or handwritten notes. This page processes the PDF inside the browser, so VeloTools does not receive the document bytes.
After compression, inspect the downloaded copy and upload it to Google Classroom yourself.
Camera scans and image-heavy worksheets can produce larger PDFs than the document needs. This page starts with a Screen, grayscale preset intended for readable homework copies.
It does not claim an official Google Classroom size limit. Assignment settings can vary, so check the current instructions shown by your class before submitting.

Screen resolution and grayscale reduce image data in photographed worksheets. That trade-off can make colour diagrams or faint pencil marks less clear, so review the result before submitting.
If colour is part of the assignment, use the main Compress PDF page and choose a colour-preserving setting.
Remove blank pages before compressing, and split a long appendix only when the assignment accepts multiple files. Do not keep recompressing after handwriting or diagrams become hard to read.
Review a representative page at normal size and zoomed in. Pencil strokes, subscripts, chart legends, coloured annotations, and signatures are the first details to suffer under a strong grayscale pass. If any of those carry meaning, return to the original and choose a milder colour setting instead of recompressing the already reduced copy.
Keep the original submission beside the compressed version until grading is complete. Give the smaller copy a clear filename, confirm that every expected page is present, and open it in a second PDF viewer when the deadline allows. Compression changes page images; it should not become the only copy of coursework you cannot recreate.
The 15 MB indicator is simply a visible workflow checkpoint selected by VeloTools. A file above it may still be accepted, and a file below it may still violate an assignment rule. The current Classroom interface and the instructor’s directions decide what can be submitted.
